Pet Conditions We Treat

We treat a variety of conditions here at Meriden Animal Hospital. We treat both small animals and equines. For small animals, we treat for surgery, spay and neuter, chronic health issues, illnesses that require urgent care, emergency care, and dental issues. For our equine patients, we treat dental issues, lameness, vaccinations, and infectious diseases such as equine encephalomyelitis and tetanus.

Small Animal Conditions

If your pet swallowed something poisonous, bring them in for emergency care. We have veterinarians on duty 6 days a week for emergency and urgent care situations.

If your pet has a condition that leaves them stiff or inflamed, bring them in for chiropractic adjustments. Chronic health issues can greatly benefit from our care.

We also provide vaccinations to prevent the spread of illnesses and diseases. Bringing your pet in for their yearly checkup can keep them up-to-date with their vaccinations. Dental issues can be treated at our office as well.

Equine Conditions

Dental issues can be prevented and treated early with yearly dental exams. We can make sure your horse's teeth stay healthy when you bring them in for their yearly checkup. Bring in your horse for routine vaccinations to prevent infectious diseases such as Potomac horse fever, equine encephalomyelitis, strangles and tetanus.

Equine lameness is another condition that we can see your horse for. Equine injuries such as head injuries, fractured and broken bones, and wounds can also be treated here at Meriden Animal Hospital.

We can treat your equine for internal parasites and worms. Getting your horse regularly dewormed can help prevent other health issues in the future. We can also treat congenital conditions such as stationary night blindness and hypothyroidism.

If your small pet or equine show any signs of an illness or condition, please bring them to our clinic as quickly as possible.
